Issue of Torture

What really defines torture? The Latin original term means "to twist". Anything that causes a great degree of discomfort is torture, now if you direct that towards human beings that would be criminal. Right? Why was torture authorized in this country, in my opinion, no matter what crime a human being commits or how evil we may think a person is, torture should never be used, we are all creations of God. God Himself made sure the human body goes into a state of shock if exposed to a great magnitude of pain, we even have natural painkillers in the brain to assist us in that situation, so why are we of all people committing such a demoralizing act? We must ask ourselves why because to solve a problem you must ask questions and to answer those questions we must educate ourselves...
